This course will help you to develop the key skills needed for working within the Engineering industry following a pathway designed to lead and/or support you in becoming an apprentice. This is an exciting pathway for anyone wishing to study a practical course that will lead into the world of work as a mechanical engineer.
You will develop many competencies like: measurement, marking out and hand skills, machining skills including drilling, centre lathe turning and vertical and horizontal milling.
The NVQ course in combination with the BTEC Diploma with give you both the skills you need and the technical knowledge to get you started as a mechanical engineer including; Health & Safety, Engineering Drawing and Commercial Aspects of an Engineering Business.
